Kajidonya Steaming Basket – Easy Steaming for Frying Pans & Donabe
The Kajidonya Steaming Basket allows you to enjoy healthy steamed dishes easily using your everyday cookware. Simply place the basket inside a frying pan or donabe (Japanese clay pot), add water, cover with a lid, and start steaming. There is no need for a traditional bamboo steamer or a dedicated steaming pot.
Steaming is a healthy cooking method that uses little or no oil and helps retain the natural nutrients and flavors of ingredients. With this simple kitchen tool, you can quickly prepare vegetables, seafood, dumplings, and many other dishes.
Easy Steaming with Your Everyday Pan
This steaming basket is designed to fit frying pans or clay pots with a diameter of 24 cm or larger. Just add water to the pan, place the steaming basket inside, and cover with a lid.
The coarse 4-mesh stainless steel structure provides excellent drainage. This prevents water from collecting under the food, allowing ingredients to steam evenly without becoming soggy.
Fast Cooking with Minimal Water
Only about 150–200 ml of water is needed. Vegetables sliced to around 5 mm thickness can be steamed in approximately 5–6 minutes. If the water level becomes low during cooking, simply add more water as needed.
Serve Directly at the Table
The basket features convenient handles that make it easy to remove from the pan. Once the food is steamed, you can place the basket directly on a plate and serve it at the table.
It can also be used for draining fried foods or removing excess oil from fried tofu.

Care Instructions
The legs of the basket are removable. One leg wire can be pushed outward to detach the legs, but please be careful because they may come off suddenly.
For normal cleaning, it is recommended to wash the basket with a soft sponge and dish detergent without removing the legs. Repeated removal of the legs may cause them to loosen over time.
